The Solstice

Ride the light. Ride the dark.

The Solstice is a cycling event built around two of the year's most extraordinary days. On the winter solstice, you ride through the longest night — sundown to sunrise, the roads quiet, the world asleep. On the summer solstice, you ride through the longest day — every hour of light the year has to offer. No entry fee. No registration. No course. Just you, your bike, and wherever you want to go. Ride it your way, submit your miles, and celebrate the fact that you were out there.

Winter Solstice

The Longest Night

The world goes dark earlier than any other day and stays dark longer. Most people stay inside. You ride. From sundown to sunrise on December 21st — pedaling through the longest stretch of night the year has to offer. It's quiet out there. It's worth it.

Summer Solstice

The Longest Day

June 21st gives you more daylight than any other day of the year. Use it. Ride sunrise to sunset — or any stretch of it that fits your life. The light is extraordinary at both ends. The roads are warm. This is what summer is for.
